§ 4-10. Livestock on public ways.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to allow or permit any livestock to run at large on the streets of the City, or to be staked so that they can go upon the streets of the City; or to drive or lead any such animals along or on the sidewalks in the City unless fastened to a rope, chain or other substantial leading device, which rope, chain or other substantial leading device is securely held by a responsible person during all the time that such animals are being led or driven along and over the streets of the City. No provision of this article shall be administered or enforced in a manner that violates the provisions of O.C.G.A. § 4-3-1 et seq., pertaining to livestock running at large or straying.
